1927-silent • Buster Keaton • With Live Accompaniment by Jelani Eddington on the Mighty Wurlitzer The inventive genius of Buster Keaton is in full swing in this beloved classic comedy-action-silent. Keaton was a mechanical whiz who designed breathtaking stunts and gags. A master of physical comedy, he did all of his own stunts. The climactic train chase in The General is not only the high point of the film, but it represents a milestone in film-making. Old Town Mursic Hall is the ideal place to see The General, with live musical accompaniment on the Might Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ.

  • PLEASE NOTE: The Organ Console will be on the right side of the stage for this presentation. It will have the music rack in place, so there will be slight obstruction of the screen for seats B 9-12, C 9-12, and D 9-12. Please be advised when purchasing tickets to this event.
